Sales & Project Manager

Reporting to: Directors

Location: R&M Productions, Stokesley

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Hours: Standard working hours would be 09.00 till 18.00, Monday to Friday. However, during busy periods, the successful candidate will be required to work weekends, evenings or night shifts as required from event to event. An overtime structure will be available.

R&M Productions Ltd are one of the North East’s leading event production and rental companies supplying a wide range of products and services to both the corporate and private events sectors, mainly in the UK but also overseas. Our stock includes lighting, video, rigging, staging and audio equipment.

We now have the opportunity for a Sales and Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will work with the wider management team under the direction of the Directors.

Primary Role:

To drive product sales across a busy rental department, focusing on developing relationships with new and existing clients. Project and production management for live events throughout the North East and beyond.

This is a challenging full-time role suitable for an established industry professional to join a fast growing company in the events industry. The role will be equally split between business development and project management. The role would be suited to an individual who has a proven track record in the event production industry, with live event or touring experience and a broad skillset. The individual will be managing sales, business development and overseeing projects up to arena level and should have a good knowledge of production management.


  • New business development and sales to a wide variety of clients and opportunities.
  • Identify key target markets, develop sales strategy and execute.
  • Ensure existing enquiries are dealt with professionally and efficiently.
  • Project Management for all aspects of the company’s day to day business.
  • Liaising with clients to act as point of contact from quotation to specification and supply of equipment or services.
  • Maximise business from existing customers.
  • Onsite event, technical and production management.
  • Booking and organising staff, sub-contractors and suppliers for events.
  • Booking and arranging vehicle movement, haulage and logistics.
  • Deliveries to site when required.
  • Work on site rigging / de-rigging / operating for events.
  • Stock Control using Current RMS rental management software.
  • Work with the warehouse team to ensure all company equipment is kept in pristine condition and uphold the company’s exceptional standards and attention to detail.
  • Complying with the company’s paperwork process to generate and file hire agreements and Prep Lists.
  • Complying with company health and safety procedures.
  • Assisting in all aspects of the day to day company operations, as required.

  • Previous experience in Project and Production Management is essential.
  • Technical knowledge of sound, lighting and visual systems and their applications is essential.
  • Full UK Driving License is required.
  • Forklift truck licence, IPAF, NRC or other industry qualifications an advantage but not essential.

A full programme of additional training can be provided to the right individual.
